Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

With the Lamborghini’s introduction of its new supercar Aventador back at the Geneva motor show, the car has gained such importance and concentration from all over the world from critics and car enthusiasts. The car was named after a bull as usual which earned great reputation at the Saragossa Arena at 1993. The supercar also with its relentless power and ferocity has stolen the hearts of many in the world arena already. Aventador is a futuristic car with enhancements in both its design language and technology, but at the same time keeping its Italian style, standards and performance, showing its undisputed supremacy in the supercar’s sector.

The entire designing of the car took place at the centro stile Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The exterior design language follows complicated and stylish aerodynamics and as mentioned earlier has a really futuristic finish. The Aventador’s €13,000 tub is made as one, with the glues and resins holding it together, making it as stronger and a proper monocoque. The design draws inspiration from aeronautical sources with hidden medieval mix in it. The supercar is 4.78 meters long, 2.26 meters wide, and only 1.136 meters high. Minute design touches like the body colour edges to the massive lower air intakes and clever panel gives it a sparkly appearance.All of the aerodynamic elements are integrated into the body in shell form, from the front spoiler to the rear diffuser, while the rear spoiler is deployable and controlled electronically.

The front is highlighted with air guides having black glossy framework. The contour lines on the bonnet and the logo enhance the looks of the car from the front. The headlight casing consists of bi-xenon headlamps with a group of LED lights running from the middle for the purpose of turn signaling. The tradition of adapting butterfly type doors is followed in this car too. The side of the car gives us as a masculine look, with a series of lines running across the sides. It also features massive aerodynamically designed air intakes for the cooling of the engine at the rear. The rear end of the car is finished with similar shaped rear LED lights and is equipped with a lower diffuser. The luggage or boot space goes under the bonnet providing large area for storage. The consumers get a variety of choice on the exterior colors with 13 varying options.

The interior features supercar bucket seats with full leather interior finish. The interior comes in two color or single color tones providing great amount of interior ambience. The center console is of push release type. The instrumentation console is on of the most revolutionized of the time indulging LCD screen display with all possible information required for the driver. While a separate LCD is provided for the controlling of stereo and navigation functions. The entire dashboard unit gives us an outlook of a racing car.

The entire power of the car comes from a 6.5 liter V12 engine made up of aluminium-silicon alloy and steel cylinder liners. Open deck construction was adapted for the production of the engine. The 6.5 liter displacement produces a power of 700hp at 8250rpm and a maximum torque of 509lb ft at 5500rpm. The sprint time of the car from 0-60mph is 2.9seconds with a maximum speed of 217mph. Lamborghini developed the electronic architecture which treats the engine and gearbox electronics as one, which handles about a half billion inputs with corresponding responses to the throttle, clutch and gear. The gear box is a robotized seven speed manual type. The ISR (independent shifting rod) single clutch automated manual gearbox comes handy for a low weight engine.

 Aventador features all types of safety electronics including ABS, electronic brake distribution, anti-slip control, speed-dependent servo-tronic steering, hill start assist and ESP(electronic stability control). The Drive Select System offers adjustments to the torque transfer in the center differential to be set in accordance with individual driver preferences. The three driver modes offered are Strada (road), Sport and Corsa (track). The fuel consumption is specified as EU urban\combined 10.3\13.5mpg.

The Aventador is one of a kind sportscar which any car enthusiasts would like to have his hand on it. Massive power, screaming speed with all sorts of electronic gadgets and safety inclusions makes this car easily attracted worldwide. Infact the car is sold a year and half of its production, about 1100 units and the waiting list is set at about 12 months clearly displaying its dominance over the market.
